Volvo do Brasil launched B100 bus line

February 18, 2026 |

In Brazil, Volvo has started 2026 by offering the option of using the B100 biofuel (Biodiesel 100%) in its urban chassis B320R. Another novelty is the brand’s qualification in Pro-Transport, a federal government program that gives access to resources with lower interest for the acquisition of urban buses.

“As with electric alternatives, chassis with biofuel engines can contribute to the environment in urban areas, with a reduction of up to 90% in CO2 emissions, depending on the fuel production chain,” says André Marques, president of Volvo Buses in Latin America. “We have a mature technology that has already been consolidated in trucks. The B100 combines environmental gain, technical feasibility and ease of application, because there are already a large number of producers of this biofuel throughout the country”, he adds.
