The ASAFA Innovation & Policy Summit (IPS) Vietnam 2026, organized from 6–8 May, brought together representatives from approximately 70 organizations, including policymakers, airlines, fuel producers, financiers and technology providers, according to the report.

Senior representatives from several Vietnamese ministries participated in the summit, including the Ministries of Industry and Trade, Finance, Construction, and Science and Technology, as well as the National Assembly’s Committee for Economic and Financial Affairs.

During the event, the Asia SAF Association (ASAFA) signed two institutional agreements with Vietnamese state bodies. The first memorandum of understanding was signed with the Agency for Innovation, Green Transition and Industry Promotion (IGIP), operating under the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The agreement establishes a framework for SAF capacity building, technical knowledge transfer and policy development support.

A second agreement was signed with the Da Nang Innovation Startup Support Center (DISSC), aimed at positioning Da Nang as a regional hub for SAF innovation, workforce development and industry collaboration, the report added.
