Valmet’s biomass tech selected for Louisiana Green Fuels project
In Louisiana, Valmet was selected by Strategic Biofuels to provide biomass power generation and flue gas cleaning technologies for its Louisiana Green Fuels (LGF) development project in Caldwell Parish, Louisiana. The project is designed to integrate carbon-negative power generated from renewable forestry residuals with carbon capture and permanent geologic sequestration to produce deeply carbon-negative electric power.
Under its planned scope of work, Valmet would provide a boiler island featuring a circulating fluidized bed (CFB) boiler and advanced flue gas cleaning systems. The company’s unmatched large-scale proven biomass technologies are designed to support fuel flexibility, operational reliability and environmental performance while helping customers achieve ambitious sustainability objectives.
