USDA raises Brazilian corn forecast to 135 million tons

In Brazil, Suno Noticias reported that the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) raised its estimates for the 2025/26 crop in Brazil.

According to the USDA, the national harvest is expected to reach 135 million tons next season, above the previous forecast of 132 million. This figure surpasses the market consensus compiled by the Wall Street Journal, which pointed to 133.7 million tons, according to the report.

For foreign trade, the US Department of Agriculture maintained its projection of 43 million tons exported in 2025/26. For the 2026/27 cycle, the estimate indicates a harvest of 139 million tons and shipments close to 44 million tons, the report added.
