US demands Argentina end import licensing after YPF Dispute
In Switzerland, the United States demanded that Argentina immediately end its import licensing regime at the WTO. This comes after Argentina’s dispute with Spain regarding a number of importation issues, one outcome of which was Argentina’s temporary takeover of YPF. The US also warned against Indonesia’s import restrictions as well.
