Universal Robina wins permit for Philippines sugarcane ethanol project

In the Philippines, the Securities and Exchange Commission has granted permission to Universal Robina Corp. to begin biofuel production. The company is planning to build an ethanol plant in Negros Occidental and another plant in Myanmar.
