Uniper and Arcadia eFuels sign long-term agreement to accelerate aviation decarbonization
In Germany, Uniper and Arcadia eFuels have signed one of Europe’s largest announced sustainable aviation fuel produced from renewable energy (eSAF) offtake agreements to date.
Under the agreement, Uniper has agreed to offtake 40,000 metric tons of eSAF annually from Arcadia’s Project Endor at Vordingborg, Denmark. The agreement is legally binding, while the commencement of deliveries remains subject to agreed conditions precedent and the eSAF facility commencing commercial operations. Current planning foresees supply from the early 2030s onwards.
