UK’s downstream oil sector lobby rebrands as Fuels Industry UK to include low carbon fuels

In the UK, the country’s downstream oil sector’s leading trade body began its new phase as Fuels Industry UK to demonstrate its evolving remit to champion low carbon fuels as well as traditional petroleum products.

Previously known as the United Kingdom Petroleum Industry Association (UKPIA), the name change reflects its members’ ambition to manufacture and supply the biofuels, low carbon hydrogen and other low carbon fuels needed to meet the UK’s ambitious net zero targets.
