U.S. ethanol production rebounds as maintenance eases
In Washington, Brownfield Ag News reports ethanol production averaged 1.053 million barrels per day last week, up 46,000 barrels per day from the previous week as seasonal refinery and ethanol-plant maintenance eased. Production was still 18,000 barrels per day below the same week last year, partly because harvest delays have tightened corn supplies. Ethanol inventories fell 122,000 barrels to 23.743 million barrels, although stocks remained 1.023 million barrels above year-earlier levels. Exports strengthened to 166,000 barrels per day, up 24,000 barrels per day week-on-week and 28,000 barrels per day from a year earlier.
