U.S. ethanol exports set new records
In Washington, World Grain reports ethanol exports are running ahead of last year’s record pace, with shipments through June 2026 up 12% by volume and 21% by value, according to USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. Exports reached records of 7.4 billion liters worth $4.3 billion in 2024 and 8.4 billion liters worth $4.7 billion in 2025. Canada remains the largest market, while exports to the UK and EU have also reached records. U.S. exporters have benefited from stronger global demand and reduced Brazilian competition as more of Brazil’s ethanol production is absorbed domestically.
