In Indonesia, the Jakarta Globe newspaper reports Toyota plans to break ground on a 60 million liter per year ethanol plant it is developing with Pertamina to help the country achieve its ethanol blending goals, complementing its energy independence from diesel through its B50 mandate. Part of the project includes a 6,000 ha sorghum plantation to use as feedstock. The plant should be comissioned in time for the country’s E10 mandate to come into effect in 2028.
