Thyssenkrupp Nucera, BHEL partner on electrolyzer production in India
In Bulgaria, Renewables Now reported that German electrolysis technology company Thyssenkrupp Nucera AG and Indian state‑owned engineering and manufacturing company Bharat Heavy Electricals, or BHEL, have teamed up to manufacture alkaline water electrolyzers for green hydrogen projects in India.
The companies will partner on the phased localization of alkaline electrolyzer module fabrication in India. The firms will focus on establishing local manufacturing capabilities, jointly participating in tenders and supporting the implementation of green hydrogen projects in the Indian market, according to the report.
BHEL said the pact enhances its contribution to the National Green Hydrogen Mission and the government’s Make in India initiative.
