Three SAF projects in the Philippines seek equity partners
In the Philippines, Business World reported that three proposed sustainable aviation fuel projects in the Philippines are still seeking equity partners, according to the Board of Investments (BoI), as their developers explore different production technologies.
“We are proactively supporting three projects in the Philippines. What’s interesting about these projects is that they are going to implement very different technology pathways,” BoI Supervising Investments Specialist Morinaella Jeusine M. Torgo told reporters on the sidelines of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Transportation Forum 2026 last week.
She identified the developers as SAFAsia, Inc., Singapore-based clean fuel and carbon project developer Alcom, and Cavitoil Basura Power, Inc.
She said the three projects would use different raw materials and production technologies to produce SAF, an alternative to conventional jet fuel that can be made from nonpetroleum sources.
