Svitzer runs Thames River tugboat on HVO100 as part of insetting trial
In the UK, DP World has bunkered a Svitzer tugboat at the London Gateway with HVO100 for the first time with an eye to expanding the fuel use amongst its tugs that handle some of the largest container ships on the Thames River. Such a switch could cut emissions by 700 metric tons per year, helping customers to reduce their scope 3 emissions. The fuel trial is part of DP World’s wider carbon inset trial program.
