StoneX cuts Brazil’s soybean harvest forecast
In Brazil, Reuters reported that Brazil’s soybean production in the 2025/26 harvest is expected to total 177.8 million tons, down from the previously projected 181.6 million tons, due to the impact of drought in Rio Grande do Sul, consultancy StoneX reported.
“Although it is still a record harvest, weather issues have caused some damage to crops, especially in Rio Grande do Sul, where the rains arrived late and very irregularly,” said market intelligence specialist Ana Luiza Lodi in a statement.
The consultancy also revised its forecast for total corn production, which rose to 136 million tons, up from 135.5 million the previous month.
The second harvest is now estimated at 106.73 million tons, slightly above the 106.37 million tons forecast the previous month, according to the report.
