Stellantis to launch hybrid ethanol cars in Brazil in 2024

In Brazil, Bloomberg reports Stellantis plans to launch its hybrid ethanol cars in Brazil next year. The company has three hybrid prototype vehicles and one electric pure-play and expects 60% of sales to be from biofuel hybrid vehicles by 2030. Flex-fuel cars are the vast majority of vehicles sales with EVs and electric hybrid cars representing only 2.5% last year. Volkswagen’s plans for biofuel hybrid cars are for after 2025 as it relies on its flex-fuel and EVs for now.
