South Korea and Australia to launch joint research on hydrogen fueling technology
In South Korea, DongA Science reported that South Korea and Australia have agreed to pursue research cooperation on hydrogen and rare earth elements. They will conduct joint research on hydrogen fueling stations that separate and store hydrogen from natural gas, and on the refining processes for rare earth elements used in electric vehicles and liquid crystal displays (LCDs). They also agreed to host a ‘Korea-Australia Science Day’ to strengthen technological cooperation.
The two countries agreed to cooperate in demonstration research for hydrogen fueling stations, rare earth elements, and bio-convergence, according to the report.
For hydrogen fueling stations, they will jointly pursue the demonstration of core technologies and promote commercialization through collaborative research, the report added.
