July 30, 2026 |

In the UK, GasWorld reported that the Scottish government has granted nearly $1 million to a planned green hydrogen-based e-fuel project on the Shetland Islands.

Veri Energy will receive the funds for the third development phase of its 50MW green hydrogen-based e-fuel hub at the Sullom Voe oil and gas terminal, according to the report.

Targeting operations in 2030, the facility could eventually supply hydrogen and e-methanol for a planned sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) plant on the Scottish mainland.
