Service Terminal Rotterdam launches marine biofuel blending storage project
In the Netherlands, Service Terminal Rotterdam (STR) has launched Project GreenSTR which aims to fill the gap of needed infrastructure tailored at the storage and blending of marine fuels. The project will consist of new tankage to be realized on a vacant plot of land adjacent to the current terminal, will consist of approximately 100.000 cbm of storage tanks, able to handle a range of products including biodiesel, and (m)ethanol. STR’s core capabilities lie in its flexibility to handle various grades of fuel oil, as well as bioblending.
