Senator Grassley looks to introduce biodiesel producers credit
In Washington, the biodiesel blender credit may not have to sunset at the end of 2016 as current legislation dictates thanks to Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley who says he is working on a bill to expend the policy. But instead of a blender credit that also applies to imported supplies, instead it will be a producer credit that can be claimed by domestic producers instead. Malaysian and Indonesia producers are looking to target that market which can provide up to $300 per metric ton of biodiesel.
