Scania ethanol bus roll out held up by bureaucracy to approve ethanol filling stations
In India, the Petroleum and Explosive Safety Organization has yet to approve the ethanol filling stations that will allow Nagpur Municipal Corporation to begin operating the 55 ethanol-powered Scania buses as part of an extended trial to demonstrate the viability of the vehicles in the Indian market. A single bus has been operating since 2014. The plan for the 55 buses was announced more than a year ago but has been plagued by administrative delays.
