Sasol achieves ISCC+ certification for UCO-based SAF and renewable diesel

In South Africa, Sasol has achieved ISCC+ certification for the production of Sustainable Aviation Fuel and Renewable Diesel through used cooking oil and vegetable oil co‑processing at Natref, as well as certified sustainable chemicals production at Secunda Operations.

The certification strengthens Sasol’s readiness to supply certified fuels and chemicals into domestic, premium and export markets, while reinforcing Natref and Secunda’s role in supporting certified sustainable production across the value chain.

“This milestone demonstrates that Sasol can deliver certified sustainable fuels and chemicals at scale using existing assets in South Africa. Independent certification strengthens confidence in our transition strategy, our operating capability and our ability to compete in global low carbon markets,” said Sarushen Pillay, Sasol Executive Vice President: Business Building, Strategy and Technology.
