San Carlos Bioenergy wants sugarcane designated a commodity

In the Philippines, in order for the country to survive the opening of the ASEAN market in 2015, San Carlos Bioenergy is pushing for the government to recognize sugarcane as a commodity, rather than sugar, with sugar as a byproduct of ethanol and bagasse used for power.
