Renewable chemicals companies flood Global Cleantech 100 list for 2011

In the UK, Avantium, BioAmber, Chemrec, Elevance, Genomatica, Harvest Power, LanzaTech, LS9, Novomer, Synthetic Genomics and ZeaChem were named to the Global Cleantech 100 by the Guardian (UK) and the Cleantech Group. 2011 is notable as a “coming out” of sorts for renewable chemicals.

Last year, Amyris, Chemrec, Coskata, Enerkem, Gevo, Green Biologics, Joule Unlimited, LS9, LanzaTech, Sapphire Enerhgy, Solazyme, Synthetic Genomics, Virent, and ZeaChem. http://www.cleantech.com/global-cleantech-100/
