Polish city of Koszalin to invest $81 million in waste-to-energy plant
In Bulgaria, Renewables Now reported that the municipal utility of Poland’s city of Koszalin has signed a $81 million contract with local engineering company AB Industry for the construction of a plant for recovery of energy from waste.
The planned facility will have an annual capacity of 30,000 tons of waste, which will enable the efficient use of the energy fraction of municipal waste, the city said on its site.
The project is being implemented under the country’s “Rational waste management” priority program, financed by the Modernization Fund, according to the report.
