In Brazil, Zachs Equity Research reports Petrobras is moving forward with its $1.2 billion bioQAV and renewable diesel facility at the Presidente Bernardes Refinery near Sao Paulo. Set to begin commercial production 2030, the expansion project aims to produce 15,000 barrels per day of sustainable fuels, making it one of the largest in Latin America. The refinery is a keystone of Petrobras’ integrated supply logistics, thus positioning the biorefinery to tap into those established channels to improve the facility’s business case.
