Paradip Port floats tender for 1 MW green hydrogen plant and 8 fuel cell buses
In India, Solar Quarter reported that Paradip Port Authority has invited online bids from eligible firms for Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services for developing a 1 MW electrolyzer-based green hydrogen plant and procuring eight hydrogen-powered fuel cell electric buses. The initiative is aimed at promoting clean energy use across maritime infrastructure and supporting zero-emission transportation in Odisha, India.
The proposed project will include a 1 MW green hydrogen generation system along with hydrogen compression, high-pressure storage, safety systems and automated refueling dispensers, according to the report.
The scope will also cover procurement of eight 32-seater fuel cell electric buses. The consultant will support site safety studies, monitor project execution and oversee the operationalization and three-year maintenance period of the green hydrogen facility, the report added.
