Panipat sugar mill to set up Haryana’s largest ethanol plant
In India, Chini Mandi reported that Panipat Sugar Mill is set to establish a new ethanol plant with a production capacity of 90,000 liters per day, making it the largest ethanol facility in Haryana, India.
The project is scheduled for completion within the next 15 months.
The grain-based plant will supply ethanol to Indian Oil Corporation’s Panipat Refinery as well as other oil marketing companies. Designed with zero liquid discharge technology, the facility aims to minimize environmental impact by ensuring that no liquid waste is released outside the plant, according to the report.
The plant will use rice, maize, pearl millet and sugarcane molasses as raw materials, the report added.
