OIL Green Energy and Hindustan Waste Treatment seal JV for bioenergy push

In India, Indian Chemical News reported that OIL Green Energy (OGEL) and Hindustan Waste Treatment (HWT) have signed a joint venture agreement to develop bioenergy and sustainable waste management projects across the country.

The partnership will lead to the creation of a 50:50 joint venture company focused on compressed biogas (CBG), waste-to-energy systems, and other resource recovery infrastructure aligned with India’s circular economy and energy transition goals.

The new joint venture will explore opportunities in CBG, integrated waste-to-energy systems, and sustainable resource recovery projects across suitable locations in India, according to the report.
