In Massachusetts, InVivo has been expanding clinical trials and announced the latest addition of University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa to their list. This brings their total to 27 sites across 16 states and also Canada. The sites are participating in Invivo’s clinical study called The Inspire Study (short for InVivo Study of Probable Benefit of the Neuro-Spinal Scaffold for Safety and Neurologic Recovery in Subjects with Complete Thoracic AIS A Spinal Cord Injury). The study involves research on how the timing and use of biomaterials in surgeries are used to support the healing and repair of spinal cord injuries. They plan on adding several more sites for their clinical study so stay tuned.
