In Canada, chemical company Croda International has built a marine biotechnology facility on the Canadian Coast to identify marine microbes with useful properties for personal care, healthcare, and crop protection.

The innovation center is based at Nautilus Biosciences, a company located on Prince Edward Island. Nautilus was founded in 2007 but acquired by Croda earlier this year. Croda has been using its high-throughput screening system to evaluate Nautilus’s marine sample library.
