In Singapore, French yeast producer Lesaffre has opened its new SGD4-million ($2.9-million) technology center.

The site consolidates Lesaffre’s Asia Pacific operations in baking, food taste, human health and nutrition, and animal care and biotechnology.

Singapore was chosen for its “capabilities as a high-quality, future-ready, global food ingredients hub,” says Lesaffre Managing Director, APAC, Joergen Lundgaard. The facility is expected to create 75 jobs by the end of 2018.
