Steakholder Foods and Umami Meats achieve 3D-printed cultivated grouper fish

In Israel and Singapore, cultivated meat pioneers Steakholder Foods and Umami Meats have produced the world’s first cultivated, 3D-printed grouper filet.

Green Queen reports that the fish was produced using bio-inks made from grouper cells provided by Umami Meats and Steakholder’s cultivated meat 3D printing technology.

A tasting event, in which fish dishes in both Singaporean and Israeli styles were served, was attended by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Notably, at the event he became the first prime minister to taste 3D printed cultivated fish, a year after claiming that distinction for cultivated beef.
