In Colorado, popular skater shoe brand Vans has launched a new collection designed to embody the brand’s relaxed vibe and appreciation for nature.

The Surf VR3 Collection includes an outsole made from natural rubber sourced from farms using agricultural practices designed to promote diversity, enhance water cycles, improve soil health, and sequester carbon from the atmosphere.

The upper knit of the Circle Vee model is 48% organic cotton, 47% hemp, and 5% nylon, giving the “forward-thinking shoe” a natural, classic Vans DNA look and feel.  All linings are made with 50% organic cotton/50% recycled cotton, and laces are made from jute fibers. Biobased polyurethane is also used for the drop-in footbed on certain items in the collection.

The Surf VR2 Collection is available at Vans.com/Surf. The sneakers range from $100-$120.
