The two plan to expand biobased cosmetics research and manufacturing by establishing a joint research and development system for the consolidation of basic science and commercialization technologies. The collaboration will combine the biotechnological value of Indonesia’s native plant resources with eco-friendly production technologies to develop new materials that balance sustainability and efficacy.
“From discovering new materials based on indigenous plants to developing locally customized formulations, we will provide comprehensive solutions that cover the Indonesian beauty market as a whole,” Jeong Min-gyeong, head of COSMAX Indonesia, said in a press statement.
