In Prague, Kibardin Design has created a sneaker concept out of recycled egg cartons. Dubbed Egg Box Sneakers, the design project combines art, fashion and design and “examines how everyday waste materials can be reinterpreted into new functional and cultural forms,” according to Design Boom. “The project reflects a method of working grounded in transformation, where waste becomes material, simplicity becomes process, and constraint becomes a tool for creative experimentation.” Each pair is constructed using only two types of carton egg boxes. Vadim Kibardin is known for his signature work with cardboard and paper.
