In Israel, Aleph Farms has submitted its first regulatory application for cultivated meat in Thailand. This application, filed in collaboration with Thai Union, aims to introduce Aleph’s Aleph Cuts cultivated beef steaks into the Thai market.

“Thailand is positioning itself as a leader in novel foods, fostering a transition toward sustainable food systems,” Didier Toubia, CEO and Co-Founder of Aleph Farms, said in a press statement. He noted that, like many neighboring nations, Thailand relies heavily on beef imports, making this regulatory submission a vital step for Aleph Farms in the APAC region.

The safety dossier has been submitted to BIOTEC, the governmental agency designated by the Thailand Food and Drug Administration for the safety assessment of cultivated meat products.
