Dow-Mitsui Polychemicals Company, which kicked off sales on September 1, said the biomass EVA and biomass LDPE have the same resin properties as conventional petroleum-derived products because the raw material, biomass ethylene, exhibits the same physical properties as conventional petroleum-derived ethylene. Therefore, they can be easily switched from conventional products, while contributing to the reduction of GHG emissions over the entire product life cycle.
The joint venture obtained ISCC PLUS certification at its Ichihara City, Chiba Prefecture plant in May 2024.
“We will contribute to the realization of a sustainable society by providing solutions that help reducing environmental impacts such as GHG emissions throughout the product life cycle,” the company said in a press statement.
