In Massachusetts, CJ Biomaterials has successfully used Matmerize’s artificial intelligence technology to optimize polyhydroxyalkanoates biopolymers.

Spun out of the Georgia Institute of Technology, Matmerize’s PolymRize™ platform uses virtual screening and AI algorithms to identify the most optimal materials, accelerating the materials engineering process and saving valuable time and resources.  In a recent collaboration with Matmerize, CJ Biomaterials successfully tested PolymRize to ensure its biobased polymers meet specific performance criteria across a wide range of applications.

“One of the key challenges in materials development is the lengthy and resource-intensive process of characterizing core properties,” CJ Biomaterials said in a press statement. “By leveraging Matmerize’s custom model training and predictive analytics platform… CJ Biomaterials was able to rapidly estimate the performance of newly designed materials, enabling quicker decision-making and reducing time and costs compared to traditional methods.”
