Dubbed Pure Plants, the sculptures are a collaborative effort between architectural firm External Reference and 3D-printing design studio LaMáquina by Noumena. Pure Plants use Pure.Tech natural mineral compounds capable of absorbing and neutralizing CO2, nitrogen oxides, and volatile organic compounds.
“Pure Plants is a statement product that increases environmental consciousness in both the design and consumer spaces thanks to its nature-inspired design and capacity as an air-purifying sculpture manufactured utilizing optimal manufacturing procedures,” according to plant and flower market publication Thursd. “When implemented, Pure Plants creates wholesome public and communal areas while bringing attention to concerns like trash management, air pollution, and the importance of the surrounding natural environment.”
The Pure Plants range is available in seventeen sizes and designs and does not require any electrical connections or chemical applications.
