In New York, parenting solutions company Bugaboo has introduced a highchair made of biobased plastic and Forest Stewardship Council certified beachwood.

The chair, dubbed Bugaboo Giraffe, boasts a CO2 footprint 61% lower than highchairs manufactured with conventional plastics. Bugaboo Giraffe retails for $359 and comes in five color options: Warm Wood/Gray, Neutral Wood/White, White, Black and Blue.

The Bugaboo Giraffe is now available at Bugaboo retailers and online at Bugaboo.com. The announcement is the second such launch by Bugaboo in as many months. In March, the company introduced an all-terrain stroller, Bugaboo Fox 5, that uses mass-balanced biobased material Akulon® made by DSM.
