In Georgia, artificial grass maker SYNLawn—known for using biobased ingredients, such as soy and sugarcane—has developed a line of turf specifically for Bocce.

Called SYNPro, the Bocce Ball Court System is available for commercial and residential installations.

“Since more and more people want to spend time outdoors, we have seen an increase in the popularity of activities like bocce ball,” says George Neagle, executive vice president of SYNLawn, in a press statement. “Demand has gone up for bocce ball court installations, and our new SYNPro Bocce product complements our existing sports surfacing options, like our popular putting green system.”

Minimum bounce, “true ball roll,” stain resistance and excellent drainage make SYNPro Bocce ideal for all play levels. “Unmatched durability” is delivered through SynLawn’s EnviroLoc+™ plant-based backing and UV stabilized yarns to resist fading.

SYNLawn has installed over 150 million square feet of soy-backed grass across 200,000 installations in the United States and 19 other countries since 2008. In 2021, it added more soy than ever to its products in 2021, which increased its use of soy grown in the US by 10%.
