In Wisconsin, bologna baron Oscar Mayer has introduced a face mask meant to physically resemble the mortadella mainstay of middle school sandwiches, while moisturizing your skin with wholesome, natural ingredients like witch hazel, seaweed, and collagen.
The masks are not edible, but do invoke nostalgia with red and yellow packaging synonymous with Oscar Mayer bologna. The face masks themselves are likewise the shape and color of the classic sandwich meat. Just in case you are tempted to forget, the packaging does remind you not to eat the face masks.
Korean skincare brand Seoul Mamas was brought in to formulate the mask, given Oscar Mayer’s lack of skincare expertise. And though the gimmicky launch might have sounded unappetizing to some, it is worth noting that the masks sold out on the first day.
