McDonald’s vowed to make 100% of its materials come from renewable, recycled, and FSC-certified materials by 2025, while PepsiCo’s NaturALL Bottle Alliance made progress in developing a 100% biobased polyethylene terephthalate bottles.
New technologies also factored into Green Package’s most significant stories. For example, TerraCycle Founder and CEO Tom Szaky discussed the company’s upcycling technology, which creates a supply chain for ocean plastics.
