The company, which has a partnership with the University of Guelph’s Bioproducts Discovery and Development Center in the Netherlands, is developing a composite made from resin and natural fibers.

Biocomposites, while still a relatively small market, are growing at 30% per year. The investment was made under Canada’s Growing Forward 2’s AgriInnovation Program.
