In Canada, the governments of Canada and Ontario announced a combined investment of up to $6 million to establish a new 58,000-square-foot research and development and food processing facility for Frulact Canada Inc. in Kingston’s Cataraqui Estates Business Park.
This facility is instrumental in Frulact Canada growing its business in North America. This facility will add up to 55 new permanent full-time jobs in the Kingston area and is attracting investment now and in the future.
Mark Gerretsen, Member of Parliament for Kingston and the Islands said, “Frulact Canada Inc. is a welcome addition to the local economy and the company’s presence supports the revitalization of food processing in the region. The new facility also means more business for the company’s supply chain. I am proud our government recognizes the importance of attracting global companies like Frulact and is taking steps to invest in them so they invest in Canada.”
