In Germany, Birkenstock, a shoe brand known for its popularity with nature lovers, is expanding its vegan line of sandals to over 60 styles for men, women, and children.
The iconic sandals use animal-friendly materials, including the company’s own Birko-Flor, a mix of acrylic, polyamide, cork, and ethylene vinyl acetate.
The packaging is also made from 90% recycled materials, per German law and, the company adds.
