In Italy, designer clothing maker Clerici Tessuto chose to use Evo, a yarn derived from castor oil and produced by the company Fulgar, to make their new eco-friendly clothing collection that will presented in Paris in 2018. The yarn is made from a renewable resource and when made into textiles, offers a low environmental impact with ultra-light, breathable, elastic properties. It also dries quickly, has natural thermal and bacteriostatic properties, and does not require ironing making it a good choice for clothing designers like Clerici Tessuto.
Stefano Bernasconi, Managing Director of Clerici Tessuto, told Pinker Moda, “The collaboration between Clerici Tessuto and Fulgar is an example of innovation in the chain of production, indispensable to continue to offer the consumer new ideas to make a sustainable present that allows us to build the future.”
