In Brazil, after a year of research and development to find the best solution for its coffee capsules Orfeu, launched its biodegradable and compostable capsule. The new capsules are already being manufactured and all future capsules will be produced with this new compostable bioplastic material.
The capsule material takes up to four months to completely degrade and can become a fertilizer for soil due to their composition. They material is aluminum free, BPA free and GMO free. It is also the first product in Brazil to receive the ABNT Ecolabel which guarantees that the certified product is the best option for the environment compared to similar products in the same category.
