In Denmark, a $12.99, biodegradable, disposable grill has won an entrepreneur competition sponsored by Ace Hardware and could be found on the store’s shelves in the near future.

The grill, dubbed CasusGrill, is made of Quick Oxylite bamboo charcoal briquettes, insulating lightweight lava stones, natural bamboo and cardboard packaging, according to its maker, also called CasusGrill. The grill is ready to roast your beer brats in as little as 5 minutes and can cook for more than 60 minutes.

Ace Hardware’s “Maker to Market Day” allowed inventors to pitch product ideas for sale at Ace Hardware locations. More than 60 entrepreneurs participated, with CasusGrill nabbing the New to Consumer Market category win.

“The goal of Ace’s Maker to Market event is to establish a pipeline of new, differentiated and innovative products from independent makers,” says John Sommers, vice president of merchandising for Ace Hardware Corp.
